Orson Scott Card’s Weasel

Another piece of prose from Orson Scott Card’s Seventh Son:

Although the Seventh Son did not rank among one of my favorite books of all time, there were several places in the book where his really down to earth, organic, and visually enticing prose made me take a second read of the passage – if anything, this is what made the book enjoyable: few authors really expend significant time on the art of penning engaging prose. This was one of his sentences that caught my eye:

“That’s where Alvin saw it most of the time, waiting just barely out of sight, wary as a weasel, ready to flit away if he turned his head.”
