Andreas Rocha

Looking through my files of favorite images, I ran across this one.  It wasn’t my intent to feature Andreas Rocha again but this painting caught my eye because it so immediately guides the mind towards a story.  In fact, the story is almost TOO obvious from the picture – if you don’t look at it and think about an epic battle where few – or only one – person survived and perceive that the survivor is grieved over the loss of his comrades, one thing is sure: you haven’t read much epic fantasy!
